The Birth and Beyond course covers all you need to know for the birth and the weeks afterwards. A comprehensive combination of ante-natal and post-natal courses, it is an indispensible aid to expectant mothers and fathers.

Learn about a whole range of topics from labour to breastfeeding and bathing to nutrition. Whether you would like to learn about how to structure your baby's day, or whether to feed on demand or pro-actively this is the course for you. Full of useful information that mothers and fathers have found indispensible. The full agenda is listed below.

The course consists of 8 classes for mothers, and fathers have a choice of attending up to 4 classes.

The advantages of this course include:

  • chelsea classroom Some of the information pertaining to this course is not relevant to fathers, such as breastfeeding, and they do not need to attend those classes.
  • Many mothers' courses only offer one evening for the fathers. With the Birth and Beyond course they have a choice of attending up to four so that they can get fully involved.
  • We appreciate that some fathers only want to attend one or two classes. They can chose which ones they want to attend: some may be more interested in the birth, others could be more concerned about what happens after. The benefit of this course means that they have the choice, dependant on where their interests lie.
  • With this course, mothers get to spend part of it on their own, enabling them to discuss matters that are only of concern to them.

In developing this course we have also gone into more detail on the first few months after the baby is born and we now take mothers up to 12 weeks after the birth. This is central to our aim, which is to prepare mothers and fathers for parenthood as well as for the birth.

All attendees will receive a folder of information and course notes.
The course is run at Notting Hill Gate, Wandsworth and Chelsea from 6.30pm - 8.30pm in the evening.
