The Birth and Beyond course is run in Notting Hill Gate and Fulham and will teach you all you will need to know for the birth and the weeks afterwards. It is a comprehensive combination of classes that cover the antenatal and postnatal period and is an indispensible aid to expectant mothers and fathers.
Learn about a whole range of topics from labour to breastfeeding and bathing to swaddling. Whether you would like to learn about how to structure your baby's day, or whether to feed on demand or pro-actively, this is the course for you. Full of useful information that mothers and fathers have found invaluable. The full agenda is listed below.
Fathers can attend up to 4 of the classes.
This course serves the areas of Wandsworth, Clapham, Balham, Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Fulham, Battersea, Chelsea, Kensington, Pimlico, Mayfair, Westminster, Victoria, Notting Hill, St Johns Wood, Primrose Hill, Maida Vale, Marble Arch, Shepherd’s Bush and Queen’s Park, Acton, Ealing, Barnes and Richmond.
The advantages of this course include:
- In developing this course we have gone into more detail on the first few months after the baby is born, this is central to our aim, which is to prepare mums and dads for parenthood as well as the birth.
- Some of the information pertaining to this course is not relevant to fathers, such as breastfeeding, and they do not need to attend those classes.
- Many ante-natal courses only offer one evening for the fathers. With the Birth and Beyond course they have a choice of attending up to four so that they can get fully involved.
- We appreciate that some fathers only want to attend one or two classes. They can chose which ones they want to attend: some may be more interested in the birth, others could be more concerned about what happens after. The benefit of this course means that they have the choice, dependant on where their interests lie.
- With this course, mothers get to spend part of it on their own, enabling them to discuss matters that are only of concern to them.
- We have several locations in London, so if you miss a class it is easy to make up, as we have course running all the time.
All attendees will receive a folder of information and course notes. This London antenatal course is run at The Westover Notting Hill and Babylist in Fulham from 6.30pm - 8.30pm in the evening.
